ABOUT DELAYO FX
Founded in 2022, Delayo FX is a Denver-based independent special effects makeup and prop-making company that helps filmmakers, designers, and creators bring their artistic ideas to life through unique costumes, props, and SFX work.
Since launching, Delayo FX has collaborated on award-winning short films, crafted screen-ready masks and props, and designed a custom performance mask for a band. With every project, the focus is on delivering cinematic-quality work that enhances the client’s creative vision and makes their story stand out.
JASON DELEEUW
Jason deLeeuw is the founder and artist behind Delayo FX. Inspired at a young age after watching The Terminator and falling in love with the work of Stan Winston, Jason pursued a career in visual effects before realizing his true passion was in working with his hands. The tactile, creative process of building physical pieces proved to be far more rewarding and became the foundation for Delayo FX. The company name, Delayo, reflects the Dutch phonetic pronunciation of Jason’s last name, deLeeuw, tying his heritage directly to his craft.

We hired Jason to do SFX Makeup for our short film. Jason was very professional, easy to work with, and got the job done well.
