You Wake to Find Yourself Alone in the Woods (2025)

Jason deLeeuw (Delayo FX) created the mask, acted the part of the killer and did the special effects makeup for this short film.
”A lost Hiker wakes up alone in the woods. Unsure of where he is and guided by an omnipresent and generally annoying narrator, he must find his way home before a masked Serial Killer finds him first.”
I brought Jason on board my short film to design and create a custom mask for one of the characters. With only a small handful of reference images, he dove right into designing, sculpting, and molding a realistic and unique mask to use during the short. Throughout the entire process he provided routine updates and worked with me to address any issues and we were on the same page. Jason is a dedicated and talented special effects artist, and I can't wait to work with him on another project.
